Do Overs

Apparently Mother Nature is handing out do-overs. I was regretting that I had not been more adventuresome with my camera settings yesterday when Richard walked into my bedroom this morning and said it was raining and the trees were full of ice again but that there was none on streets as the ground is warmer than the air at the moment. I jumped out of bed and grabbed my camera and this is my favorite of todays pictures I took from my front porch. Some of my pictures were dismal failures, e.g. those taken with the flash did not work at all.

Mother Nature Feels Creative

Mother Nature woke up in a creative mood this morning and decided to do a little Christmas decorating of her own before the season was entirely over. (She gets to decide what is over and what is not I think) Anyway she sent a brief little ice storm and I just happened to notice what she had done when I went out to check the mail. I dashed back in and grabbed my camera because winter in Arkansas is a moment to moment thing and if you do not seize that moment you are not going to get a picture of it.
